Cummings is wanted on at least one charge of aggravated assault that stems from
an incident around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in which Cummings allegedly pointed a
gun at someone.
During the manhunt, police did find a .357 handgun that had been in Cummings' possession that day, according to Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal.
Authorities suspect Cummings is still in the area. They are unsure if he remains armed with other weapons at this point.
Officers with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office spent part of their Sunday in the Gray area searching for a wanted man.

A WCSO deputy spotted Cummings around 10:30 a.m. According to Lt. Gary Wiseman, Cummings had ditched his truck near the McDonald’s and BP station just off the I-26 exit in Gray. Officers were searching for him in the wooded area near Buckingham Road.
Members of the Johnson City Police Department as well as a police K9 assisted in the search. Cummings reportedly faces another, similar charge in Johnson City.
The search was continuing as of 3 p.m. on Sunday.
