Johnson City police: Man knocked large holes in apartment walls and doors

A Johnson City man was arrested Friday on an accusation that he knocked several large holes in an apartment's walls and doors.

Joseph Allen Smith, 19, was charged with felony vandalism over $1,000.

On Oct. 23, police went to 2 Trivette Concourse, No. 8, where Smith had been staying. The apartment had multiple large holes in the walls and in the doors. Witnesses told police Smith got upset and began destroying the apartment, causing an estimated $1,300 in damage.

Police found Smith in the Tyler Apartment complex on Friday and arrested him. He was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Monday.
