Johnson City police chase ends in DUI, reckless endangerment arrest

A Johnson City man ran from police as they tried to pull him over on DUI suspicion late Saturday night, resulting in his arrest on several charges, police said.
Joseph B. Denney, 43, of Earnest Street, tried to flee in his vehicle and then by foot, but police caught him a short time later. He was arrested about 11:30 p.m.
Denney was charged with DUI second offense, reckless endangerment, evading arrest and driving on a revoked license second offense.
He was jailed without bond in the Washington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing in Sessions Court set for Monday.
