Staff Report • Nov 12, 2013 at 5:45 PM

A Johnson City man was arrested Tuesday on charges that he stole tools from a man he worked for in June.

James Allen Harris, 37, general delivery, was charged with theft of property over $500.

Police said a victim reported June 21 that Harris had been working for him on June 6 and had taken a drill, reciprocating saw and breaker boxes valued at $560 and never returned them.

Police obtained a warrant for Harris' arrest and located him on Tuesday. He was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond and arraigned later Tuesday in Sessions Court.
