Staff Report • Nov 7, 2013 at 5:17 PM

A Greeneville man who had been banned from a Johnson City Walmart was arrested today on charges that he returned to the store last month and stole two televisions.

Bobby Gene Morgan, 33, 1845 Old Asheville Hwy., Greeneville, was charged with theft over $500 and trespassing.

Police said Morgan took two televisions worth more than $500 from the Walmart at 3111 Browns Mill Road and left the store without paying on Oct. 11. Walmart employees told police they recognized the thief as a man who had been banned from the store for previous thefts.

Police found Morgan today and arrested him. Police said he would be booked into the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance this afternoon.
