ELIZABETHTON — A fire to a recreational vehicle camper early Tuesday morning is suspected of being arson.

Roy Eugene Perry, Hidden Oaks Drive, Johnson City, told Deputy Michael Freeman that the fire was discovered in his family's camper around 3 a.m. He said all the occupants were able to safely get out of the camper. The West Carter County Volunteer Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire in the 2000 Holiday Rambler.

Perry said someone had also slashed two tires on family vehicles and he believed the fire was arson. The sheriff's department arson investigator, Travis Ludlow is investigating.
