Johnson City police found crack cocaine in an apartment complex laundry room on Sunday, resulting in two arrests, police said in a news release.
Neil M. Friedman, 49, 208 Lake Vista Circle, Piney Flats, and Christina D. Walter, 31, 1112 King Springs Road, No. 14., were arrested after police went to Walter's apartment complex, Aspen Ridge Apartments, about 10:15 p.m. to check on a suspicious activity report.
Walking into the laundry room, police found Friedman and Walter standing in front of a table, on which police could see a plastic bag containing crack cocaine and several items of drug paraphernalia.
Police said a vehicle believed to be driven by Friedman was parked outside the laundry room. Searching it, police found a bag in the front seat containing scouring pads and glass pipes, as well as more crack cocaine in the front console.
Friedman and Walter were each charged with possession of schedule II drugs for resale and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia. Each was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond and arraigned Monday in Sessions Court.
