Police seek information after man was attacked going into doctor's appointment

BRISTOL — Police are looking for a Hispanic man who allegedly attacked a man with a knife as the victim was going to a doctor’s appointment Tuesday morning.

According to a Bristol Police Department news release, the victim was collecting his medications as he got out of his vehicle en route to his appointment in Medical Professional Park when he was struck from behind and knocked to the ground. During the incident, the several was cut several times in the chest and upper body.

He was brought to Bristol Regional Medical Center, where his non-life threatening injuries were treated.

The victim’s medications were missing after the attack.

The suspect is being described as a Hispanic male with a dagger tattoo on his left forearm. He was wearing a gray jersey shirt, dark pants and tennis shoes. A witness at the scene reported seeing someone fitting the description running toward the Stafford Street area.
