A former Elizabethton man was indicted for the murder of four people in Cumberland County earlier this month.

According to a news release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Cumberland County grand jury handed down indictments against this man and his girlfriend.

Jacob Allen Bennett, 26, of Crab Orchard, Tenn. was indicted on four counts of premeditated murder, four counts of felony murder and two counts of attempted aggravated robbery. He has remained in custody at the Cumberland County Jail since the day after the murders when he was arrested in Rhea County for violating his probation.

Bennett was formerly of Elizabethton.

Bennett’s girlfriend, Brittany Lina Yvonn Moser, 25, of Dayton, Tenn., who was with him at the time of the murders, was indicted on four counts of felony murder and two counts of attempted aggravated robbery.

The four victims 22-year-old Rikki Danielle Jacobsen, 17-year-old Domonic Lewis Davis, 17-year-old Steven Michael Presley and 16-year-old Jonathan Raymond Lajeunesse were found shot to death in a Jacobsen’s vehicle on a road on Renegade Mountain on September 12. The two counts of attempted aggravated robbery stem from Bennett and Moser attempting to rob Jacobsen and Davis during a marijuana exchange.

Moser was arrested Friday morning at her residence at 1872 Railroad Street in Dayton and will be booked into the Cumberland County Jail. The two were expected to be arraigned in court Friday morning.

The Elizabethton Police Department arrested Bennett in March 2009, when he was picked up on a Cumberland County warrant charging him with theft over $1,000. At the time of his arrest, the police department listed his address as 658 Jena Beth Drive, Apartment 2, in Elizabethton.
