Staff Report • Sep 3, 2013 at 2:02 PM

A Cash Hollow man was arrested early Saturday morning on accusations that he threatened his live-in girlfriend with a knife and used it to flatten a vehicle's tire.

Jose Luis Chagala-Baxin, 35, 742 Cash Hollow Road, was charged with aggravated domestic assault.

In a court document, Washington County Sheriff's Deputy B.W. McKinney said Kaylee Arnold reported that Chagala-Baxin had been drinking and got angry with her.

Arnold got into a vehicle to leave, but Chagala-Baxin got in with her and threatened her with a knife. He got out of the vehicle and stabbed a tire with the knife, flattening it.

McKinney said Chagala-Baxin admitted that he had stabbed the tire. A knife matching the description was found in the residence.

The woman told the deputy she lived with Chagala-Baxin and they had two children together.

Chagala-Baxin was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $20,000 bond pending arraignment today in Sessions Court.
