Police say Kingsport man arrested after drugs found inside child's toy

Drugs found inside a child's toy car led to multiple drug charges for a Kingsport man, according to a police report.

Curt A. Coleman, 38, 330 Clinch Street, was charged with possession of schedule II drugs for resale within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of schedule III drugs for resale within 1,000 feet of a school and maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are used, stored or sold. Coleman had been the subject of an ongoing drug investigation.

On Aug. 20, Kingsport Police Department vice detectives, with the help of the KPD SWAT team, served a search warrant at Coleman's address. While the SWAT team was at the front of the house, vice detectives saw Coleman leaving a storage building located in the back yard of his residence.
