Four parents appear before NE Tennessee judge on child neglect charges

ROGERSVILLE — Four parents accused in separate child neglect cases appeared before Hawkins County Sessions Judge J. Todd Ross Monday, including a man found in a park with his son and a large amount of drugs earlier this month.
Steven Craig Lawson, 34, 273 E. Pumpkin Valley Road, Eidson, pleaded guilty Monday to public intoxication, child neglect, possession of Schedule III narcotics, possession of Schedule IV narcotics, possession of Legend Drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, a year of probation, 48 hours of community service and a $1,802 fine.
