CHURCH HILL — News of a recently discovered pregnancy between a Hawkins County couple apparently didn’t go over very well last week, resulting in a domestic altercation that sent a man and woman to jail.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office Deputy David Benton responded to a domestic disturbance in progress at 1786 Goshen Valley road near Church Hill.
While en route Benton received radio dispatch reports that a male was choking a female outside the residence, followed shortly by a report that the male was attempting to leave the scene, and was dragging the female down the driveway.
