Church Hill man arrested for driving on restricted license

A Church Hill man was arrested Monday for being a habitual motor offender after being stopped by police for a traffic violation.

According to a Johnson City police news release, Ronald D. Simpson, 32, 1181 Christians Bend Road, was charged after police ran a license check during the stop and found he was a habitual motor offender.

Simpson was charged with driving while license restrictions in effect and he was taken to Washington County Detention Centers where he was being held on $6,000 bond.

He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday at 1:45 p.m.
