Brttany N. Kneaskern, 19, 205 Sherrod St., Gray, Alvin R. Richardson 21, 2 Mel Circle, and a 16-year-old juvenile face theft charges in connection to two burglary incidents at the business.
Kneaskern and Richardson are charged with burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a child.
The three were caught around 4 p.m. Tuesday when Ronald Dawson, who owns the old mill at 3191 Watauga Road, drove by the property and saw a pickup truck there backed up to a side door.
According to a police report, as Dawson approached he saw the three suspects carrying numerous items from inside the building and loading them into the truck.
Dawson confronted the three and ordered them to put the items back, to which they complied. He also made them sit in the back of the truck and wait until police arrived.
Dawson told police that the office area had been ransacked between 4 p.m. July 5 and 10 a.m. Tuesday and around $6,000 worth of tools were missing.
After the three were arrested, Dawson discovered more tools and equipment — around $20,000 worth — missing from the business, according to the police report.
Kneaskern and Richardson were arraigned on the charges Wednesday in Washington County Sessions Court and they have a preliminary hearing later this month.
