Berry Bate and Jeff Payne of Arden, N.C.-based Sculpture by Berry Bate created this arch for Founders Park which was affixed to the entrance point to the park near what will be the new Johnson City Farmer’s Market. The sculptors, assisted by Public Works Department workers, set the 12-foot-high work of art in place on Tuesday. The work is made from hammered iron and copper and represents pollination. Tupelo Honey Cafe donated funds to construct the sculpture.
