A few of the headstones in Gregg Huddlestone's lawn (Dave Boyd/Johnson City Press)
Gray resident Gregg Huddlestone has an unusual display on hand for trick-or-treaters this Halloween season. He has turned his front lawn on Brittany Drive off the Kingsport Highway into a graveyard filled with headstones inscribed with rhyming epitaphs for each of the deceased. A few examples:
• "Here lies the body of Warren White. His bulletproof vest wasn't quite."
• "Here lies Sam McGee. The last curve he didn't see."
• "Here rests Max McGee. He would't cheer for Tennessee."
• "Here lies the body of Sam McGraw. His mother-in-law was quicker on the draw."
