Consumers and retailers love them. But the love stops with tax policy types.

Since 2006, Tennessee has been holding a Sales Tax Holiday the first weekend in August each year.

From Friday through Sunday, tax-free items will include clothing with a price of $100 or less per item, school and school art supplies with a price of $100 or less per item and computers with a price of $1,500 or less, according to the Tennessee Department of Revenue.

More on the tax-free weekend is available from our partners at the Kingsport Times-News.
