As of 9 this morning, all of Johnson City Power Board's 75,000-plus customers had electricity flowing to their homes and businesses, said Brian Bowling, JCPB chief customer relations officer.

"We fared very well," Bowling said. "If you look on our web site, you'll see a big goose egg when you look at the number of power outages. We've been fortunate. We put a lot of effort into tree-trimming year round, and we feel that has reduce a lot of outages."

Bowling said two separate vehicle accidents, one an the Bristol Highway, another near Bulldog Miller and Kelsey Peterson Road, resulted in street lights being knocked down last night, but both of the lights were repaired.

Wednesday afternoon, soon after the sleet and snow hit the area, JCPB reported about one dozen residential power outages in the Sulphur Springs area. The outages were the result of falling trees and were repaired in short order, Bowling said.
