Organizer and moderator Jim Buchanan said the meeting will provide an opportunity for Erwin Mayor Doris Hensley, Unicoi County Mayor Greg Lynch and town of Unicoi Mayor Johnny Lynch to review issues discussed at the first round table meeting, which was held in October, and discuss 2014 plans for their respective communities, including areas in which the three governments can cooperate.
“They were all looking forward to this and agreed to take part,” Buchanan said.
State Sen. Rusty Crowe, state Rep. Kent Williams and John Abe Teague from U.S. Rep. Phil Roe’s office have also said they will be in attendance to offer their assistance and input, Buchanan said.
The public is invited to attend the meeting to hear the mayors’ plans for the year, and Buchanan said members of the public will be allowed to ask questions following the meeting.
The Unicoi Visitors Center is located on Unicoi Village Place, which is located directly off Exit 32 of Interstate 26.
