The accident report was not complete late Friday, but the sheriff’s department said Ashley Wagner, of Jonesborough, was traveling eastbound and Dawn Nichols, of Johnson City, was traveling westbound when Nichols lost control.

Nichols was going around a curve when her car slid and went into the oncoming lane and hit Wagner head-on. Timber lake Road was shut sown for a short time until the cars were removed and the scene cleared. No other details were available late Friday.
