Troopers to hold sobriety checkpoints in early October

The Tennessee Highway Patrol announced plans to conduct sobriety checkpoints in Washington County from Oct. 6-12.

According to a press release, areas of focus will be on State of Franklin Road and U.S. Highway 11E.

The goal of the checkpoints is to combat impaired driving by having troopers evaluate motorists who appear to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
