Update: All clear notification issued after gas line was struck on ETSU's campus earlier today

An ETSUAlert was issued around 12:30 p.m. saying that the gas leak emergency at the CPA had ended and that all buildings that had been evacuated could now be reoccupied.


Earlier reports:

A gas line was struck on the campus of East Tennessee State University just before noon today and surrounding buildings were being evacuated.

Students, faculty and staff were asked to avoid the area. According to an ETSU representative no one has been injured.

A Johnson City Press reporter and photographer are at the scene.
