Castle Clinic to give patients access to medical records

Staff Report • Jul 15, 2013 at 10:32 AM

Patients of Johnson City’s now closed Castle Clinic are now able to obtain their medical records, according to the office’s supervising nurse.

Connie Pate, who said she had worked for Dr. Robert Allen for 34 years, said Saturday that patients can obtain their records by calling 979-6263 and following the instructions that will be given to them.

Also, Pate said someone will be at the clinic beginning Monday that they can talk to or reach by calling 979-6257.

“Someone will call them back and tell them how they can get their medical records and how they can pick them up,” she said

Pate said someone should be at the Castle throughout next week.

“We want you to know we do care about our patients. We are sorry for the chaos,” Pate said.

Allen’s license was suspended on June 22 by the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiner. The physician was arrested last month after leading Johnson City police on a high speed chase.

When arrested at his home, Allen was reportedly wearing only a bathrobe and underwear and a loaded gun and machete were found in his truck. Police also found 29 grams of marijuana in the truck’s console.
