Around 1,500 Johnson City Power Board customers lost power Thursday morning and the cause of the outage is unknown, according to a JCPB representative.
According to JCPB, the outage occurred around 10 a.m. and by the afternoon most of the power had been restored.
Power board representatives said around 100 customers remained without power in mid-afternoon, which included mostly businesses, and said work crews were out working to restore power.
