Joseph Raymond and Mary Florence Willis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, with family at home.
The couple were married on Feb. 24, 1962, in Gate City, Va., by the Rev. H.J. Farmer.
Mr. Willis retired from Willis Auto Sales, where he was owner and salesman.
Mrs. Willis is the former Mary Florence McInturff. She is a homemaker.
The couple have nine children; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Announcement is made of the engagement of Jane E. Fields and Bernard J. Smith.
The bride-elect is a daughter of the late Colden and Elizabeth Fields.
She is a graduate of Science Hill High School.
She is employed by Eastman Chemical Company, Kingsport.
Her fiancé is a son of the late Robert Lee and Mabel Bradley Smith.
He is a graduate of Greenville High School, Greenville, Miss., and a graduate of Tusculum College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in organizational management.
He is owner and operator of University Lube and Detailing in Johnson City.
The couple plan a wedding for Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Grace Temple Church, Johnson City.
Mr. and Mrs. James Ernest Hughes, 1506 Woodland Ave., Johnson City, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jacqueline Ann, to Joseph Daniel Montileone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Joseph Montileone, 9314 Chesapeake Drive, Brentwood.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Science Hill High. She is a 2008 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she received a bachelor’s degree in history, was a cheerleader for four years as a member of the UT Spirit Program and taught camps and clinics for Universal Cheer-leading Association. She is a 2009 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she received a master’s degree in education.
She is employed by Williamson County Schools as a sixth-grade math teacher and head cheerleading coach.
She is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Ely Hawkins Jr., Johnson City; and Mrs. Sarah Whitney Hughes, Johnson City.
Her fiancé is a 1998 graduate of Brentwood High School; and a 2003 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he received a bachelor’s degree in economics and was an active member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity.
He is employed by Robert Half International as a recruiting manager.
He is a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Glennon Daniel Geile; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Joseph Montileone.
The couple plan a private wedding for 6:30 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, Johnson City.

He is a grandson of the late Mike Chase; the late Sylvia Chase; the late Henry Simon; and the late Amy Simon.
The couple plan a private wedding for 2 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the University of Virginia chapel, Charlottesville, Va.
Mr. and Mrs. Willis
Johnnie and Carolyn Willis of Harmony Community, Jonesborough, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at a reception hosted by their family from 2-4 p.m. at Oak Hill Baptist Church, 2501 Highway 81 N., Jonesborough.
The couple were married on March 24, 1962, at the home of Mrs. Vestal Ford, the bride’s grandmother, by the Rev. John Moody.
Mr. Willis retired from AGC Industries as a fabrications superintendent after 42 years of service.
Mrs. Willis is the former Carolyn Ford. She has owned and operated Golden Mirror Beauty Salon for the past 40 years.
The couple have two children, John Willis of Philadelphia, and Doug Willis and wife Melissa of Jonesborough; and two grandchildren, Austin and Kendal Willis.
The celebration is open to family and friends.
