Mr. and Mrs. Stafford
Mr. and Mrs. Greg Stafford, Limestone, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a recent trip to Las Vegas.
The couple were married on Nov. 7, 1986, by the late Rev. J.B. Stills.
Mr. Stafford is employed by the U.S. Postal Service.
Mrs. Stafford is the former Lesa Gilbert. She is employed by Greeneville City Schools.
The couple have two children, Adam and Abigail Stafford, both of Limestone.
Mr. and Mrs. Meece
Jack and Phyllis Meece, 2309 Eagle Drive, celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary Friday, Nov. 11, 2011. They were treated to a week in Savannah, Ga., by their children, Dave and Debbie Wortman.
The couple were married on Nov. 11, 1945, in Decatur, Ill., at First United Church.
Mr. Meece served on the U.S.S. Colorado in the Navy during World War II. He was a photographer for 16 years, and retired after 20 years as owner of a luggage and leather goods store.
Mrs. Meece retired as co-owner of the store.
The couple have three children, Terry Meece and wife Monica of Ooltewah, Debra Wortman and husband Dave of Elizabethton, the late Pam Johnson; seven grandchildren, Jack Meece and wife Lori of Knoxville, Mindi and husband Dr. James Hurst of Knoxville, Tyler Meece and wife Becca of Virginia, Nathan Johnson of the Island of Guam, Amy Streuer and husband Darin of Covington, Ind., Tiffany Jones and husband Toby of Elizabethton, and Lindsey Wortman of Johnson City; and eight great-grandchildren, Ethan, Addison and Macy Streuer, Caroline James Hurst, Skylar and Savannah Meece, and Riley and Ryan Jones.
Gena McCall Cochran and Wesley Robert Haynes were married Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Carolina Point Young Life Camp, Brevard, N.C.
The Rev. Jerry Everley officiated the 2:30 p.m. exchange of vows.
The bride is a daughter of Karren Bryan and William Clabough Cochran, Maryville, Tenn.
She is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Edwards Bryan Jr., Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. Clinton Lewis Cochran, Maryville; the late Ruth McCall Cochran; and the late Clinton Lewis Cochran.
The groom is a son of Diane Westmoreland Haynes, Johnson City; and Mr. and Mrs. Olen Gale Haynes, Johnson City.
He is a grandson of Mrs. Robert Ray Haynes Jr., Johnson City; the late Rev. Robert Ray Haynes Jr.; and the late Doris Shelton and Charles Wade Westmoreland.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a full-length princess style gown of soft ivory featuring a strapless, heart-shaped bodice accented with crystal beads.
Bridesmaids were Shelton Elaine Shelton, Kristy Herndon Haynes, Neile Rea Asbury, Ashley Nichole Rogers and Audrey Lee Robertson-Watts.
Flower girl was Lily Anna Haynes.
Ring bearer was Charles Lee Shelton.
Olen Gale Haynes Sr. served as best man.
Groomsmen were Olen Gale Haynes Jr., Clayton William Cochran and Darrell James Greer.
Ushers were Richard Lee Shelton, Patrick Neil Slagle and Gregory Christopher Champney.
Junior groomsman was Olen Gale Haynes III.
Following a reception at Carolina Point, the couple took a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Ashley Dawn Hill and Jonah George Nickles were married Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Rich Acres Free Will Baptist Church.
The Rev. Dan Foster officiated the 1 p.m. exchange of vows. Music was provided by Jacob Tipton, pianist; and Danny Williams, saxophonist.
The bride is a daughter of Gary L. and Dawn M. Hill, 133 Joe Green Road, Jonesborough.
She is a granddaughter of Phyllis J. Hill, Jonesborough; the late Jack E. Hill; and the late John F. and Helen S. Jenkins.
The groom is a son of Joseph P. and Cheryl W. Nickles, 1305 Lake Drive Ext.
He is a grandson of Carolyn M. Whaley, Johnson City; the late Herman R. Whaley; the late Wiley P. Nickles; and the late Maggie J. Martin.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of white taffeta featuring a beaded metallic lace bodice, an inverted V empire waist, a lace-up back and a pick-up skirt that extended into a sweep train.
Matron of honor was Kayla Hill.
Maid of honor was Jade Nickles, sister of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Nikki Davis, Jennifer Border, Alicia Engle and Stacy Eastwood.
Flower girl was Emma Davis and Bryanna Nickles.
Ring bearer was Elye Davis and Grayson Scalf.
Jacob Nickles, brother of the groom, served as best man.

She is a student at East Tennessee State University, where she is pursuing a degree in cardiopulmonary science.
She is a former Miss Johnson City and former Miss Capital City and has competed twice for the title of Miss Tennessee.
She is employed by the Wellness Center as a front desk coach.
She is a granddaughter of Goldia and Willis Rash, Ashe County, N.C.
Her fiancé is a son of Keith and Pendola Nave, Elizabethton.
He is a graduate of Milligan College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and sports management and was a three-year starter for the basketball team.
He holds accreditation through the American College of Sports Medicine as a health and fitness specialist.
He is employed by the Wellness Center as a personal trainer.
He is a grandson of Junior and Barbara Britt, Johnson City; Wanda Nave, Carter County; and the late Homer Nave.
The couple plan a summer 2013 wedding.
