O.W. and Patricia Runion, 213 Oliver Edwards Road, Jonesborough, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 16, 2012, at a reception from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the home of their daughter, Tonya Anglin, 177 Conklin Road, Jonesborough.
The couple were married on June 9, 1962, at Prayer Tabernacle, Elizabethton, by the Rev. Gordon Wagner.
Mr. Runion is a retired truck driver.
Mrs. Runion is the former Patricia Sims. She is retired from Epic Technology.
The couple have two children, Tonya Anglin and husband Michael, Jonesborough, and Tim Runion and wife Judy, Jonesborough. They have four grandchildren, Christina Runion, Bridgett Bacon and husband Mike, Misti Runion, Michael Anglin and wife Ashley; and three great-grandchildren, Eli Ukele, Malaki Bacon and Alexis Runion.
The celebration is open to family and friends.

Jim and Judy Converse, Minerva, Ohio, announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Faye, to Matthew Ross Gallatin, son of Donn and BJ Gallatin, Johnson City.
The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Minerva High School, Minerva, Ohio; a 1999 graduate of Ohio University; and a 2001 graduate of Ohio University, where she received a master’s degree in physical therapy and was Academic All-American in cross country. She is employed by Wexler Medical Center, Ohio State University, as a physical therapist and athletic trainer.
She is a granddaughter of Fran Converse, Massillon, Ohio, the late Dick Converse, and the late Horace and Opal Puett.
Her fiancé is a 1997 graduate of Science Hill High School, Johnson City; a 2001 graduate of Witten-berg University, Springfield, Ohio, where he was All-American in football; and a 2005 graduate of Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio, where he received a master’s degree in educational leadership. He is employed by Dublin City Schools, Dublin, Ohio, as an alternative education specialist and by Wittenberg University as special teams coordinator.
He is a grandson of Robert and Alice McNeese, Naples, Fla., the late Donald Ross Gallatin, and the late Gwendolyn Maurer.

Jack and Wanda Krouse, 2215 Kipping St., Johnson City, observed their 65th wedding anniversary Thursday, June 7, 2012.
The couple were married on June 7, 1947, at Knob Creek Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Frank Isenburg.
Mr. Krouse is the owner of Jack Krouse Watch and Clock Repair.
Mrs. Krouse is the former Wanda Martin. She is retired from H & K Jewelers.
The couple have three children, Jerry Krouse and wife Judy, Johnson City; Roger Krouse and wife Randi, Tampa, Fla.; and Randal Krouse and wife Joann, Johnson City. They have two grandchildren, Kevin Krouse and wife Emily, and Wendi Asher and husband Jeremy; and two great-grandchildren, Jack A. Krouse and Mariyah Asher.
