She is the granddaughter of Shirley and James Hopson, Unicoi; and Joan Bogart, Erwin, and the late Bill Bogart.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Elizabethton High School, and a graduate of East Tennessee State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. He is employed by Cloudland Elementary as a sixth grade teacher.
He is a grandson of Bill Merritt, Elizabethton, and the late Peggy Merritt; and Marlene Odom, Hampton, and the late Thomas Odom.
The couple plan a private wedding for Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at the Oaks Castle, Johnson City.
Dr. Ricky and Donna Mobley Mohon, 160 Hays Farms Court, Johnson City, announce the engagement of their daughter, Rory Lea, to Clint Matthew Schaff, son of David and Yvonne Schaff, 21870 Ada St., Castro Valley, Calif.

Bob and Gail Richardson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at a celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. at Westerly Heights Baptist Church fellowship hall, Johnson City.
The couple were married on Aug. 18, 1962, in Johnson City.
Mr. Richardson retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and is a Vietnam veteran.
Mrs. Richardson is the former Martha Gail Orr. She worked for American Greeting Cards for several years and cares for young foster children.
The couple have one daughter, five sons and nine grandchildren.
The celebration is open to family and friends.

Given in marriage and escorted by her parents, the bride wore an ivory tea-length gown featuring subtle sequins and beading with a corset waist.
Matron of honor was Amanda Hollenbaugh. Maid of honor was Stephanie Shores.
Bridesmaids were Diane Hollenbaugh, and Sarah and Amy Stollenmaier, sisters of the groom. Flower girl was Grace Guy.
Tim Ritter served as best man. Groomsmen were Seraphim Mario Beck, Dennis Crenshaw, Michael Jelovsek, and Derek Kirby, brother of the bride.
A reception was held at the Jonesborough Visitors Center and Historical Museum.
