She is a granddaughter of Bruce and Susan Masters, Jonesborough; Virginia Hodges, Rocky Mount, Va., and the late James D. Hodges.
Her fiancé is a student at East Tennessee State University, where he is pursuing a degree in computer science. He is employed by Eastman Chemical Co. as a maintenance mechanic.
He is a grandson of Nila Letterman, Jonesborough, and the late Wayne Graybeal; and the late Henry and Jessie McNeese.
The couple plan a private wedding for the evening of Saturday, July 28, 2012, at The Masters’ Farm, Jonesborough.

The Revs. Steve Pate and Chuck Strong officiated the 6:30 p.m. exchange of vows. Music was provided by Brian Henry and Molly Slemp, vocalists; and Vicki Fey, pianist.
The bride is a daughter of Robert and Marsha Rodgers, 7450 Old Stage Road, Chuckey.
She is a granddaughter of Mary Ruth Jeffers, Limestone, and the late James H. Jeffers; and the late James D. and Evaleen Rodgers.
The groom is a son of Jerry and Linda Anderson, Evans, Ga.; and Thomas Makin, Tiptonville.
He is a grandson of the late George and Eva Moses; and Thomas T. and Alice Makin, Tiptonville.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an Essence of Australia ivory-over-oyster gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and a keyhole back accented by a mermaid silhouette and detailed beading.
Matrons of honor was Whitney Stanton and Brittany Reece.
Bridesmaids were Hailee Campbell, Leslie G’fellers, Aryn Gosnell and Stephanie Moses.
Flower girl was Olivia Makin, niece of the groom.
Ring bearer was Ethan Makin, nephew of the groom.
T.C. Makin and Christopher Makin, brothers of the groom, served as best men.
Groomsmen were Daniel Rodgers, brother of the bride; Aaron Moses, cousin of the groom; John Gripado; and Sam Rich.
Bride’s-book attendant was Katie Pate.
Following a reception at The Bristol Train Station, the couple took a wedding trip to the Bahamas.
The couple will reside in Big Stone Gap, Va.

He is a 2000 graduate of Science Hill High School, where he was a member of the soccer team and a 2004 magna cum laude graduate of Radford University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology and was a scholarship athlete on the men’s soccer team.
He is a 2010 graduate of University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine, where he received a doctor of medicine degree. He is a third-year general surgery resident at Emory Uni-versity, Atlanta.
He is a grandson of the late Charles and Emma Allen, and the late Roxie and James Davis.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth A. Stout celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday, June 7, 2012, in Charleston, S.C.
The couple were married on June 7, 1962, at First Baptist Church, Jonesborough, by the Rev. Joe Strother.
Mr. Stout retired from Burlington Industries, Johnson City plant, as administrative manager.
Mrs. Stout is the former Nancy Sue Chase. She is a retired floral designer.
The couple have two children, Lynn Larsen and husband Mike, Johnson City; and Marie Patterson and husband Randy, Jonesborough. They also have two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
