She is a granddaughter of Jean Perry, Johnson City; the late Don Perry; Eula Tipton, Johnson City; and the late Fred Tipton.

Mr. and Mrs. John Salyer, 2416 Huffine Circle, Johnson City, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, with a trip to the Bahamas.
The couple were married on Nov. 25, 1961.
Mr. Salyer is retired from the City of Johnson City.
Mrs. Salyer is the former Claudette Marie White. She is employed part-time by the City of Johnson City.
The couple had one child, the late David Kent Salyer.

Her fiancé is a 2003 graduate of East Tennessee State University. He is employed by Greene County Schools as band director at West Greene High School.

The couple plan an open-church wedding for 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Christ United Methodist Church, Greeneville.
The Rev. and Mrs. Keever
The Rev. Bill and Lonie B. Keever, Johnson City, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011.
Mr. Keever retired from the U.S. Navy after 23 years of service and has served 21 years in the church.
Mrs. Keever is the former Lonie Smithpeters. She is an Avon representative.
