Dr. Charles and DeLores Edwards celebrated their 60th wedding recently with a trip to Macinaw City, Mich.
The couple were married on June 3, 1951, at the Methodist Episcopal Church, Milford, Iowa.
Dr. Marc Alan Aiken and Mrs. Laura Aiken, Johnson City, announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Laura, to Brett Matthew Anderson, son of Nancy Anderson, Cincinnati, Ohio, and the late Kent Anderson.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Science Hill High School, where she was Student Government Association president and cross country team captain; a 2010 graduate of Samford University, Birmingham, Ala., where she received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and was senior class president; and a 2011 graduate of Kanakuk Institute, Branson Mo.
She is attending Wake Forest University Physician Assistant School.
She is a granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. James E. Moak, Starkville, Miss.; and Dr. and Mrs. Charles Aiken, Johnson City.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, Cincinnati, where he was golf team captain; and a 2011 graduate of Samford University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training.
He is employed by Wake Forest Baptist Health as an athletic trainer at Davie County High School, Winston-Salem, N.C.
He is a grandson of Carole Anderson, Dayton, Ohio; the late John Anderson; Joyce Staples, Austin, Minn.; and the late Warren Staples.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Northeast State Community College. He is employed by Mountain States Health Alliance as a surgical technologist. He is actively involved with the Foot Rx running team.
