Mr. and Mrs. Ryan
Dewey “Eddie” and Jean Ryan, Jonesborough, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at 3 p.m. at their home with a vow renewal and celebration.
The couple were married on Oct. 23, 1961, in Kingsport by the Rev. Kenneth Jennings.
Mr. Ryan retired from Raytheon and ITT North Electric.
Mrs. Ryan is the former Imogene Spears. She is a homemaker.
The couple have three children, Kathy Crawford and husband John of Jonesborough, Amy Dyer and husband Robbie of Jonesborough, and Jamie Ryan and wife Sally of Kingsport; and two grandchildren, Sarah Taylor-Norton and husband Josh of Norfolk, Va., and Matthew Dyer of Jonesborough.
The celebration is open to family and friends.
The couple request no gifts.
Natasha Rose Carver and Joshua Dale Kyker were married day, Saturday, July 16, 2011, in the Watauga Falls Community of Butler.
Dr. James Richardson officiated the 7 p.m. exchange of vows.
The bride is a daughter of Amy Willis, Elizabethton; and Randy and Crystal Carver, Watauga.
She is a granddaughter of Granville and Larna Taylor, Elizabethton; Lynelle Carver, Watauga; and the late Clyde Carver.
The groom is a son of Teresa and Chuck Pearce, Johnson City; and Dale and Lisa Kyker, Afton.
He is a grandson of Levonne and Ernie Sullivan, Bluff City; Patsy Pearce, Elizabethton; the late Charles Pearce; and Sam and Martha Kyker, Telford.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a side draped trumpet gown of taffeta featuring a high collar halter and button back detail.
Maids of honor were Jessica Fair and Emilee Carver.
Bridesmaids were Brittney Michael and Jordan Fair.
Flower girl was Kaydence Carroll.
Ring bearer was Ayden Pearce.
Alex Carroll served as best man.
Groomsmen were Paul Oaks, Cassidy Pearce and Will Bartlett.
A reception was held at the Butler Ruritan Hall.

The groom is a son of Dannie Pate, Elizabethton, and Lynne Lampkins, Elizabethton. He is a grandson of Dee Grindstaff, Elizabethton; and Jack and Nellie Pate, Elizabethton.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a soft white strapless gown of organza featuring a drop waist and floral appliques.

The bride is a daughter of Glenda Berry, Kula, Maui, Hawaii; and the late John Berry.
She is a granddaughter of the late Jack and Irene Orr; and the late Rudi and Elvi Wool.
The groom is a son of the Rev. James R. and Carol E. Green, 3215 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, Tenn.
He is a grandson of the late McKinley and Edith L. Green; and the late Rev. Donald E. and Joy Rugh.
The bride wore a white Indian silk sari.

Following a reception at The Dragon’s Lodge, the couple took a wedding trip camping across the country.

The couple plan a private wedding for Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at First Baptist Church.
