Mr. and Mrs. Gouge

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gouge, 806 Hiwasse Heights Drive, Johnson City, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, with a surprise brunch given by their children at the Johnson City Country Club.
The couple were married on Feb. 2, 1954, at Valley Forge United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ed Bishop.
Mr. Gouge retired from Earl’s Men’s Shop clothing store as owner.
Mrs. Gouge is the former Betty Jane Saylor. She is retired from Snelling & Snelling Personnel as an administrative secretary.
The couple have four children, Jerry Gouge and wife Misty of Knoxville, Kevin Gouge of Jacksonville, Fla., Kim Gouge Minutolo and husband Joe of Maryville, and Andy Gouge and fiancée Beth Ragaglia of Johnson City; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
