Mr. and Mrs. Painter

Paul and Judy Painter, Chuckey, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at a reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
The couple were married on Feb. 21, 1964, in Johnson City by the Rev. Richard Ratliff.
Mr. Painter retired from Phillips Corp., and from the U.S. Army Reserves, after serving in the Vietnam War and Desert Storm.
Mrs. Painter is the former Judy Hayes. She is retired from Washington County Schools Food Service.
The couple have three children, Vivian Gladwell and husband Lee of Chuckey, Myra Chambers and husband Patrick of Jonesborough, and Anthony Painter and wife Kelly of Chuckey; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The celebration is open to family and friends.
The couple request no gifts.
