Mr. and Mrs. Francis

David and Juella Francis, Johnson City, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at a reception from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Jonesborough Senior Center, 1521 Persimmon Ridge Road.
The couple were married on Oct. 12, 1963, at Unaka Avenue Baptist Church by Pastor Chester Parker.
Mr. Francis is a Word War II U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Harris Tarkett after 50 years of service.
Mrs. Francis is the former Juella Hampton. She retired from Memorial Hospital as a secretary and bookkeeper to the controller, and later retired from SPS.
The couple have two children, Delena Francis of Johnson City, and James Francis and wife Kim of Chicago; and are expecting their first grandchild.
The celebration is open to family and friends.
The couple request no gifts.
