The. Rev. and Mrs. Cooper

The Rev. Roy and Edna Cooper celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, with dinner at Golden Corral, and Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, with a mystery trip with their family.
The couple were married on Jan. 18, 1952, by the Rev. George W. Phelps at his home.
Rev. Cooper is a member of the Jack’s Creek Free Will Baptist Ministers Association and is the honorary pastor of Keystone Free Will Baptist Church. He and Mrs. Cooper have pastored numerous churches in Tennessee and North Carolina.
Mrs. Cooper is the former Edna Wiseman. She is retired from the Johnson City Medical Center.
The couple have three children, Jane Ann Williams and husband Terry, Shirley Sutphin, and Jim Cooper and wife Donna, all of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Terri Ann White and husband Brad, Jessica Lyle and husband Mickey, Bridgett Wine and husband Scott, and the late Robin Michelle; and three great-grandchildren, Noah Trivette, Aaron Thornburg and Audrey Lyle.
