Mr. and Mrs. Maden

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Maden, 531 Tavern Hill Road, Jonesborough, will celebrate their 50th anniversary Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church Community Ministry Center, Jonesborough.
The couple were married on Dec. 29, 1961, at Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church by The Rev. Marvin Gass.
Mr. Maden retired from Phillips Corporation, Greeneville.
Mrs. Maden is the former Carolyn Carder. She is a retired teacher from Washington County School System.
The couple have four children, Martha Renfro and husband Scott of Johnson City; Julie Griesen and husband Michael of Maryville, Suzanne Richards and husband Allen of Jonesborough; and Rachel Whitten and husband Neal of Johnson City; and seven grandchildren, Hannah and Sarah Renfro, Micaiah, Katriel and Janayah Griesen, Jacob Richards and Alexander Whitten.
The celebration is open to family and friends.
