Travis Austin Nevels IV and Catherine Smith Stallings were married Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at St. Mary’s Chapel, Charlotte, N.C.
The Rev. Patrick Maloy officiated the 4:30 p.m. exchange of vows.
Music was provided by a violinist from Queen City Ensemble.
The bride is a daughter of Donna Furlong and Jack B. Stallings Jr., Charlotte.
She is a granddaughter of Jack B. Stallings, Rock Hill, S.C.; the late Minnie Tolbert Stallings; John Carter Furlong, Charlotte; and Joyce Smith Moore, Charlotte.
The groom is a son of Travis S. and Debra Sells Nevels, Charlotte.
He is a grandson of Travis L. and Patricia Z. Nevels, Johnson City, Tenn.; and the late James H. and Imogene King Sells.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a San Patrick V-neck, mermaid-style gown of off-white lace featuring a gathered waist.
Maid of honor was Rebecca Slate.
Bridesmaids were Jessica Wynn and Lallie Jones.
Ring bearer was Dean Furlong.
David Ulloa served as best man.
Groomsmen were Nathan Choy, Staton Pollock and John Stallings.
Following a reception at Pewter Rose Bistro, the couple took a wedding trip to Mayan Riviera, Mexico, and Mayan ruins of Tulum.
