SAN FRANCISCO — Sheri McLaney and Patrick Tao were married Saturday, June 18, 2011.
The Rev. Rich Menefee officiated the 5:30 p.m. exchange of vows. Music was provided by a string trio from Nob Hill String Ensembles.
The bride is a daughter of James and Naomi McLaney, Piney Flats, Tenn.
She is a granddaughter of the late Warner and Virgie McDavid; and the late Clifford and Anna Lee McLaney.
The groom is a son of Allan and Jean Tao, Vancouver, Canada.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a Priscilla of Boston Platinum Collection gown of ivory silk satin featuring crystal beading on the torso and a full sweeping skirt that extended into a cathedral-length train.
Matron of honor was Rachel Lovelace. Bridesmaids were Lisa Rice, Kim Gregory and Erisa Joyce.
Flower girl was Isabella Montesi. Ring bearer was Alesandro Montesi.
Steve Heinen served as best man. Groomsman was Ethan Tao-Lem.
Usher was Michael Wu.
Following a reception at the Fairmont Hotel, the couple took a wedding trip to Hawaii.
