Douglas and Susan Grove-DeJarnett, 3419 Linkwood Drive, announce the engagement of their daughter, Gretchen, to Ryan Bealman Frankenberry, son of Robert and Barbara Frankenberry, 75 Ye Olde McDonald Orchard Lane, Inwood, W.Va.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Science Hill High Sc hool; and is a 2008 graduate of Presbyterian College, Clinton, S.C. She is employed by Early Childhood Advisory Council of West Virginia, Charleston, W.Va., as executive manager.
She is a granddaughter of Bishop and Mrs. William Boyd Grove, Charleston, W. Va.; and Mr. and Mrs. Lindell Eugene DeJarnett, Marietta, Ga.
Her fiancé is a 1996 graduate of Musselman High School, Inwood, W.Va.; and a 2000 graduate of West Virginia University. He is employed by Federal Emergency Management Agency as an external affairs specialist. He is a grandson of the late Harold and the late Louise Frankenberry; Betty Bealman, Inwood, W.Va., and the late Harold “Mike Bealman; Peggy “June” McDonald, Inwood, and the late William McDonald.
The couple plan a private wedding for 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Christ Church United Methodist, Charleston, W.Va.
