GREENEVILLE — Carling Michelle Puckett and Nicholas Todd Achberger were married Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. James W. Lively and the Rev. Rayton P. Puckett, grandfather of the bride, officiated the 6 p.m. exchange of vows. Music was provided by Laura Taliaferro, vocalist; Cameron Puckett, vocalist and brother of the bride; James Winfree, organist; Whitney Ball, pianist; and Galina Timofeev, violinist.
The bride is a daughter of Stan and Kay Puckett, Greeneville.
She is a granddaughter of Norman and June Baker, Kingsport; and Rayton and Faith Puckett, Hillsville, Va.
The groom is a son of Todd and Rhonda Achberger, Greenville, S.C.
He is a grandson of Betty Morgan, Pickens, S.C.; the late Dennis Morgan; Betty Thomas, Whispering Pines, N.C.; the late Richard Thomas; and the late Richard Achberger.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a full-length, strapless ivory gown featuring a fitted drop-waist bodice of Alencon lace, an ivory satin sash appliquéed with Swarovski crystals and a full tulle skirt that extended into a chapel-length train.
Maid of honor was Natalie Lester.
Bridesmaids were Natasha Achberger Drozdak, twin sister of the groom; Chelsea Goodson; Kelsey Horner; Bridget Brannan Jones; Katy Judd Potts; Lindy Mason and Bethany Wells.
Junior bridesmaid was Destiny Baker. Honorary bridesmaids were Melany Holmes, Senta Pritchard, Shanna Seagrave and Jessica Stephens.
Flower girls were Emma Bowlin and Riley Rhea. Ring bearers were Brady Hammer and Jackson Leopard. Honorary ring bearers were Dane Hammer and Brayden Leopard.
Todd Achberger, father of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Andrew Drozdak; Cameron Puckett, brother of the bride; Jason Gray; Adam Pritchard; Michael Roth; Chris Stake and Joaquin Verdial. Junior groomsman was Wyatt Puckett.
Ushers were Michael Elliot, Langdon Potts, Daniel Thompson and Luke Puckett.
Liturgical dancer was Leah Brooks. Acolyte was Marley Mitchell. Scripture reader was Chelsea Goodson.
Bride’s book attendant was Jessica Stephens. Program attendants were Emily Woods and Leah McCormick. Greeter was Marshall Harbison.
Following a reception at the rooftop terrace of General Morgan Inn, the couple took a wedding trip to Antigua.
The couple resides in Greenville, S.C.
