OUTER BANKS, N.C. — Tracy Garside and James Robert Dobes were married Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Kill Devil Hills.
The Rev. Jay Bowman officiated the 4 p.m. exchange of vows.
The bride is a daughter of William and Barbara Garside, 5 Meadow Green Court, Johnson City, Tenn.
She is a granddaughter of the late Thomas Garside; Elsie Garside, Milllville, N.J.; and the late Carl and Marie Harris.
The groom is a son of James and Patricia Dobes, 1122 Powder Branch Road, Elizabethton, Tenn.
He is a grandson of Joseph and Beatrice Dobes, Crown Point, Ind.; and the late Robert and Carol Thomen.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a slightly A-line formal gown of ivory satin featuring an ivory chiffon overlay, a strapless, fitted bodice and shirred top, diagonal chiffon pleats and dropped waist, a band of crystal beadwork, rhinestones and silver embroidered trim on the bust and hip and a skirt that extended into a chapel-length train.
Matron of honor was Tara Ezell, sister of the bride.Bridesmaid was Holly Shick.
Edgar Duffy served as best man. Groomsman was Larry Kraus.
Following a reception at The Pearl, the couple took a wedding trip to Dominican Republic.
