Police tacked on a drug charge Monday for a woman housed in the city's jail.
Susan A. Montgomery was already an inmate in the Johnson City Municipal Jail when she was charged with introduction of contraband into a penal institution.
Police said jailers saw that Montgomery was incoherent during recreation time on Sunday. Montgomery was given a drug test and failed, and officials found that she had a Valium tablet.
Montgomery was taken to the Washington County Detention Center for booking before she was returned to the Municipal Jail. Her bond was $5,000. A Sessions Court appearance was slated for Tuesday morning.
