MOUNT CARMEL — A Church Hill man is facing charges of aggravated assault and possession of synthetic drugs as a result of an altercation Tuesday with a female who allegedly was beaten after she declined his invitation to “be more than an acquaintance.”
The woman went to the Mount Carmel Police Department following the alleged assault because the suspect, Gregory Brian Skelton, 43, 612 W. Main Blvd., Church Hill, had taken her cell phone.
The 21-year-old woman told MCPD Officer Chris Jones that Skelton, who is an acquaintance, came to her residence on Elm Street Tuesday evening. She said he beat on her door, claiming he’d left his cell phone there.
