Johnson City woman charged with forging stolen checks

A Johnson City woman was arrested Wednesday on charges she deposited stolen checks into her bank account.
Heather Marie Cretsinger, 33, 41 Boone Hill Court, was charged with eight counts of forgery, eight counts of identity theft and theft of property over $1,000.
Police said Cretsinger went to Capital Bank, 4309 North Roan St., where she cashed and deposited stolen checks into her account. Cretsinger deposited eight checks that were reported stolen from someone in White Pine.
She was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $105,000 bond and arraigned Thursday in Sessions Court.
