KINGSPORT — A tractor trailer collided with two passenger vehicles on Highway 11-W Thursday morning, sending two people to the hospital with minor injuries.
The crash occurred shortly after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 394. Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Robby Greer says a Pontiac Grand Am and Honda CRV were attempting to turn left off 394 onto 11-W, and had a green light at the traffic signal.
As they passed through the intersection each vehicle was struck on the driver's side by a northbound 11-W tractor trailer. The driver of the Grand Am, Melissa Whitehead, of Bristol, Tenn., was extricated from her car and transported to Bristol Regional Medical Center.
