A Johnson City man was charged with aggravated assault after cutting a victim with a knife during a fight Thursday, police said.
According to a release, police responded to 1056 Stonecrest Court and found a victim with a knife wound on his back. The victim told police that Drake McConnell, 23, of that residence, cut him during their fight.
A female witness allowed police to search the residence, police said. Officers said they found four marijuana plants in the residence and the knife used on the victim was in the kitchen sink. The plants and the knife were seized and taken as evidence.
Another officer located McConnell and brought him back to the scene. The victim was taken to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment and McConnell was taken to Franklin Woods Hospital to have his knee looked at before being taken to the Washington County Detention Center, police said.
He was also charged with manufacturing, delivering and selling a controlled substance and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
Police said McConnell is held on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Sessions Court on Thursday at 9 a.m.
