ELIZABETHTON — A Kingsport man has been arrested by the Elizabethton Police Department on a charge of using a stolen credit card to obtain cash from a Carter County automatic teller machine.
James Willis Starnes, 37, 1604 Redwood Drive, Kingsport, was charged with two counts of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card. Investigator David Peters said a total of $500 was obtained through the fraudulent use of the credit card. Peters said the card was also used in other jurisdictions.
Starnes was being held in the Carter County Jail with bond set at $10,000. He is scheduled to answer the charges in Sessions Court on April 30.
