A Johnson City man was charged with a second offense of driving on a revoked license and being a fugitive from justice after a radar traffic enforcement Wednesday, police said.
According to police, Charles M. Thomas, 28, 268 W. Main St., was stopped by police near Milligan Highway and University Parkway after he was clocked going 44 mph in a 30 mph zone.
When police ran Thomas’s license, they found it had been revoked and that he was also wanted by Smyth County, Va. on charges of burglary and grand larceny, police said.
Police said Thomas was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was held on $11,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Sessions Court today at 9 a.m.
