KINGSPORT — A Sunday evening, two-vehicle traffic crash in Sullivan County killed a Kingsport woman and hospitalized two other people.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports Donna G. Mendenhall, 40, of Wembeck Drive, suffered fatal injuries in the head-on collision. It occurred at 6:15 p.m. on Highway 126, between Cooks Valley Road and Bridwell Heights Road — and less than a half mile from Mendenhall's home.
According to a report filed by Trooper Doug Brewer, Mendenhall was driving a 1997 Chevrolet westbound on Memorial Boulevard. Her passenger is identified as Scott Mendenhall, 47.
