Police: Stop for speeding results in Fall Branch man's arrest

A stop for speeding Monday on Interstate 26 led Johnson City police to arrest a Fall Branch man whose license had been suspended, police said in a news release.
Richard K. Seymore, 44, 237 Logans Chapel Road, Fall Branch, was stopped on I-26 near North State of Franklin Road about 12:30 p.m. Monday.
Police learned that his license had been revoked for DUI and he had a habitual motor offender status.
Seymore was charged with speeding, failure to comply with the financial responsibility law and driving while restriction in effect (habitual motor offender).
He was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance today.
