Washington County Sessions Court to hear two unrelated juvenile rape cases

Two unrelated rape cases involving juveniles as the victim are scheduled for preliminary hearings in Washington County Sessions Court today.
Both men charged in the cases were arrested last week by Washington County sheriff’s investigators.
Michael Dave Pike, 57, 2203 McKinley Road, is charged with four counts of aggravated statutory rape.
Pike was a driver for NET Trans, a rural public transportation line through the First Tennessee Human Resources Agency, and the offenses occurred on the bus while Pike was transporting a juvenile to Steppenstone Youth Treatment Center in Limestone.
According to information in a court document filed by Investigator Jared Taylor, the first incident occurred in October. The victim told Taylor that Pike pulled off the road near the Washington College campus and into a secluded area.
Once stopped, Pike “persuaded the victim to perform oral sex on him.”
After that, Pike drove on to Steppenstone and dropped the teen off.
On another occasion when Pike was taking the juvenile home from Steppenstone, he’s accused of stopping in a cornfield near Adams and Corby Road. According to Taylor’s report, Pike gave the victim a condom, told him to put it on and proceeded to order teen to perform sex.
A third incident is also documented, according to Taylor’s affidavit.
There is no indication how old the victim is, but Steppenstone is a comprehensive youth treatment center that serves adolescent boys ages 12-17.
Pike remains jailed under a $100,000 bond.
In the second case, Mars Allen Lockwood, 47, 115 Clarks Creek Road, Jonesborough, is accused of soliciting two teenage girls to have sex while he watched and masturbated.
Taylor also investigated this case and wrote in a court affidavit that Lockwood gave a statement that he committed the offense.
“Under the defendant’s own admission, a few days before Christmas, he verbally solicited sex from a 14-year-old female through a 16-year-old female via cellular phone text.
According to the court document, the verbal solicitation happened again in January.
Also in January, Lockwood persuaded the girls to have sex while he watched “and verbally instructed the victims in sexual positioning while he masturbated,” Taylor wrote.
Lockwood remains jailed under a $200,000 bond.
